The Perfect Husband - Isaiah 43:1-7

Almost 2 years ago I posted this scripture and a song here. I just read it again, on the outskirts of a recently ended 2-year relationship. (Infer emotions here.) And then there was God! Perfect and brilliant and in a league of His own.

When I read this, I can't help but think that God is the ultimate husband. The evidence:

• He chose me, redeemed me.
• He calls me "his".
• He is with me through all hard times.
• He protects me.
• He declares who He is and who I am because of Him.
• He gives others up for me.
• He treasures me, honors me.
• He will never leave me, so I don't have to fear.

God is the perfect lover of my soul and I want to live only for Him.
